Coconut flour recipes! From breakfast todessert, you will find all the best low carb and keto coconut flour recipes the internet has to offer. These grain-free treats are perfect for every occasion.

Hip hip hooray for coconut flour recipes! I’ve recently updated this post to include my latest and most delicious keto coconut flour recipes.

Coconut flour and almond flour are two of the most commonly used flour alternatives in low carb cooking and baking. Most people have a preference of one over the other. Sometimes it’s due to allergies, sometimes it’s simply a preference for flavor or texture.

But coconut flour is by far the trickiest low carb ingredient to work with. It’s fine and powdery, and it has an astonishing capacity for soaking up eggs and liquids. It’s like a sponge and it’s very different from both wheat flour and almond flour.

But once you get the hang of it, it can make some of the best keto cakes and muffins you’ve ever tasted. And it’s useful in many savory recipes too. It’s worth taming the coconut flour beast, trust me!

Is coconut flour keto?

You know I hate the idea that a certain food is “keto” or “not keto”. But it goes almost without saying that coconut flour is absolutely appropriate for the keto diet.

Coconut flour is an ideal keto flour because it is:

  • low in carbs and high in fiber
  • inexpensive, as low carb flours go
  • gluten-free
  • grain-free
  • nut-free

If you are low carb and nut-free, coconut flour may be one of your best options for keto baking. Still, it’s not an easy flour to work with, especially if you are new to this low carb diet thing.

Before you start, I suggest you read my primer on How to Bake with Coconut Flour. You can’t just sub in coconut flour for regular flour or for other low carb flours. It’svery dense and it requires an inordinate amount of eggs to bake properly, so direct substitutions will result in utter failure!

For those of you wholove your coconut flour, I’ve gathered together my best low carb and grain-free coconut flour recipesalong with a few more from other great bloggers. Happy coconut flour baking and cooking!

How nicely coincidental! I just happened to convert two coconuts over the last few days into coconut milk, coconut cream, and dehydrated coconut pulp from the two, that I am making into flour. Thanks for the recipes. I will get right on it!

Almost all of my recipes are made with almond flour. Seriously… that’s why it doesn’t have its own category because it would be thousands upon thousands… Just search cake or muffin or cookie

I was fooling around with some people ngredients and came up with a wonderful treat.
    1/2 cup coconut flour
    4 eggs
    1 tablespoon flax seed
    1/2 teaspoon xanthem gum
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons Walden farms pancake syrup
    2 teaspoons butter
    Coconut oil

Mis it all together except for the butter anD oil. Us the oil to coat the rolls side of two coffee mugs. Put half the mixture in each mug. Top each with 1 teaspoon of butter and a drizzle of the pancake syrup. Put in microwave for n high for six minutes. It rises and lightens. Delicious treat when on keto.

It depends on what you are making but you can mask the taste of the coconut if you combine with strong flavours like chocolate.

Thought I would add my two cents here as I have used many recipes with coconut flour, almond flour and golden flaxseed. I find that the recipes that combine 2 or more of these have less of a coconut flavor and as she says strong flavors help to mask it.
I too dislike coconut flavors but my two favorite cake recipes use exclusively coconut flour. Go figure!
      Hope this helps you.

I use coconut flour exclusively, as almond flour makes me sick. And I do not taste coconut in anything I have made with coconut flour.
